I know some of my family and friends look forward to my blog posts every week, so I thought I better do a little something. My husband and I actually have been down in Scottsdale, Arizona for the last few days. Ryan has a conference and I have been relaxing and soaking up as much sun as possible. The weather has been 80 or higher everyday so it has been amazing, I'm not really looking forward to the rain in California. Last weekend I did a couple of photo sessions and I am so excited to get home so that I can start working on the photos and get them posted! I know it's a short blog today, but just wanted to let everyone know that I will be posting some new photos soon! Have a wonderful rest of the weekend :-)

It's Beginning to Look Like Spring
I have been enjoying this first day of March. It's raining outside, I'm drinking hot tea, listening to Norah Jones Pandora, lounging with the dog and Blogging....anything better than this? Oh yeah I went to Target this morning and found these really cute SPRING blocks in the $1.00 section! Thought I would splash up our kitchen table with some festive decor. Did I mention I love Target. Also got this very cute Bunny Candy Dish for $3.99 and of course you need to have candy in it! (Peanut Butter M&M's my new fave) Hope everyone is enjoying this cozy weather. Girls Afternoon
My friend Sarina asked me if I would take a professional photo for her resume! I was delighted to have a fun afternoon of lunch, chatting and a photo shoot! We went to a cute cafe and enjoyed yummy salads and wonderful weather. We then headed back to my house to get some great photos for her resume. In today's economy it's always a good idea to spice up your resume and adding a photo can help with prospective employee seekers. Look at that smile, I would hire her :-) We had a fun filled afternoon and if anyone else would like to add a photo to their resume, let me know and I would love to provide that service!

Jackson Green Sneak Peek
Let me introduce you to Jackson Henley Green, welcomed into this world Monday Feb. 6th at 6:07 pm, 8 pounds 8 ounces and 21 inches long. I was able to photograph him at just 5 days old! What a little cutie and he has some amazing hair on that head! I have had the pleasure of working with this family since the maternity photos that we took in December and also because Danielle is one of my best friends! Everyone will be seeing lots of Mr Jackson because Auntie Amy loves to take pictures! I already have his next photo session planned for about 4-6 months old and very excited about some of the great ideas! This is just a little preview of the photos that I took and there will be more to come very soon!

New Scarf
My wonderful Mother-In-Law and Sister-In-Law bought me my first sewing machine for Christmas this last year and I have been itching to try it out! Well with the holidays and the craziness in our lives lately I haven't had time to play with it much except a class that I took at JoAnn Fabrics. It has been years since I actually have used a sewing machine. When I was a kid my great grandma and I would make barbie clothes and quilts, so very small projects, yet so unforgettable. Now that I have been out of school for a couple of years and getting settled into "life" I have been getting more into my creative side that has been on hold for a long time! So for my first little sewing inspiration I started small.... very small. But it turned out great! I am so excited and totally wearing my new scarf today. I went to Hancock Fabrics and bought some scrap fabrics and stumbled across this adorable gray and ivory stripe fabric and thought it would be a cute scarf. I like the scarfs that are continuous and don't have any loose ends. So basically I cut the scarf to a good length, pinned the edges where I wanted and sewed the ends together. Seems pretty simple and easy right?..... well to keep the stripes lined up is actually harder then it looks! This fabric is also stretchy which makes it difficult to sew in a straight line, but I think it turned out great and I am definitely making more of these! Thanks to my wonderful Fam that got me the sewing machine, now off to the next project......

Edwards and Everhart Dentistry
When my husband asked me to take his and his new business partner photo I was a little nervous but also very excited. During this shoot I was trying to capture a professional, yet casual and relaxed photograph. Ryan and Shellie both have fun and unique personalities and to capture them in a professional photo was fun! We started out very formal and by the end of the shoot I was able to get them both to relax and be comfortable in front of the camera. I am very pleased with the way this photo shows them as fun individuals yet also as great business partners. I am so happy for my husband Ryan and his new business partner Shellie Edwards and this new journey that our families are beginning together. If any of my fans are looking for a new dentist in the El Dorado Hills area please call Ryan he would love to see you and your families. He works great with kids but also has many wonderful talents and specializes in Oral surgery and Implants at their office. Please call them 916.939.9912 http://www.edwardseverhartdental.com/
